Prof. Dr. Rongtao Li obtained her MS and Ph.D. degrees in Phytochemistry at the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Life Sciences and Technology, Kunming University of Science and Technology. She is engaged in the research of Chinese medicine and natural medicine chemistry, mainly focusing on the excavation, collection, organization and development of Yunnan ethnic medicine and cultural resources, the discovery and mechanism of action of anti-infective active compounds, the study of toxicity/active ingredients, biological action targets and drug safety of poisonous medicinal plants, and the search for antiviral and anti-tumor natural drugs.
