Girolamo Di Francia is a Research Director with ENEA, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development. He is qualified as a Full Professor of applied physics, an Independent Expert-Supervisor for the European Union, in the areas of materials, new technologies, and renewable energies, and an Independent Expert-Supervisor for the Italian Minister for Research and Education. He has 233 publications with 3575 citations and an h-index of 31 (Scopus, 13 December 2023). He also holds 12 patents on solid-state electronic devices and innovative electronic technologies fabrication processes. He is a member of the European Technology Photovoltaic Platform. During his professional activity, he has coordinated several, national and European, research projects both scientifically and administratively. He is a Referee of many international journals and a member of the International Advisory Boards of several international conferences on materials science and sensors.
