Prof. Dr. Evgeny Abakumov is a professor
and the head of the Applied Ecology Department at the Faculty of Biology,
Saint-Petersburg State University. He holds a PhD in ecology and soil science
at Saint-Petersburg State University and a Doctor of Science, in ecology of
primary soils in 2012. His research interests include soil science, soil
ecology, humic substances, soil organic matter stabilization, polar
environments, ecosystem services, and environmental management.
