Prof. Dr. Bodil Ohlsson received her M.D. from Lund University in 1991 and earned her Ph.D. in Medicine in 1996. She currently works as a Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine at Skåne University Hospital. She has been appointed Professor in the Department of Clinical Science, Malmö, Faculty of Medicine, Lund University, Sweden, since 2009. She has published extensively in her field, with 258 original research papers and 33 review papers to her credit. She is a member of the Swedish Society of Gastroenterology and the United European Gastroenterology (UEG). Her research interests center on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastrointestinal dysmotility, dietary regulatory factors, and endometriosis.
