Mohammad Paydar currently works as an academic researcher and assistant professor at the School of Architecture Temuco, Universidad Mayor, Chile. He earned a PhD of Architecture/urban design from the University Technology of Malaysia (UTM), Faculty of Built Environment in 2013. His PhD project was on the contribution of the built environment to path choice and walking behavior of commuters in the central business district of Kuala Lumpur. He spent his postdoctoral career in the center of sustainable urban development (CEDEUS) as part of the school of urban studies, Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (UC). He has more than 10 years experience in teaching and research in Architecture, urban design and transport in different universities around the world. His main research interest is active travel in relation to urban design aspects.
