Marta Nowak, Ph.D., is an academic and lecturer at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is a certified specialist in internal medicine nursing. She earned her doctoral degree in medical and health sciences in 2025 from the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. From 2020 to 2025, she worked in the First Department of Ophthalmology at University Clinical Hospital No. 2 of the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, providing high-level care to patients diagnosed with neovascular AMD and receiving treatment under the National Health Fund’s reimbursed drug program. Her academic work is driven by a strong passion for student success, with a focus on fostering critical thinking and promoting patient-centered care. Her current research interests include the biological, psychological, and social determinants of health; well-being and mental health of healthcare professionals; professional wuality of life, and the multidimensional aspects of patients' quality of life.
