Biography

Dr. Jin-Min Pan received his Ph.D. in Biology and Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University, China. His research focuses on fish genetics and breeding, aquaculture genomics, molecular breeding, and the genetic architecture of economically important traits in marine fish. He has experience in genome-wide association studies, genomic prediction, population genomics, comparative genomics, transcriptomic analysis, candidate gene screening, and functional genomics. His studies mainly address growth, morphometric traits, reproductive regulation, stress adaptation, and active transposable element insertions in teleost fishes. He was selected for the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), Doctoral Student Special Program, and is a Young Member of the China Society of Fisheries. His current work aims to integrate genomic resources, molecular markers, and functional evidence to support precision breeding and genetic improvement in aquaculture species.
