Claudia Gabriela Chilom is an Associate Professor with a PhD in Biophysics who has worked at the University of Bucharest since 2007. Her areas of expertise include biophysics, bioenergetics, materials, optical microscopy, the investigation of the mechanism of interaction of protein–ligand interactions, the effect of nanoparticles on molecular and cellular systems, the mechanism of action of drugs, flavonoids, and vitamins on living systems, the physicochemical characterization of materials by spectroscopy (UV–Vis, FT-IR, fluorescence), ultrasound treatments, and calorimetry (ITC, DSC). She currently supervises student research activity for the Bachelor and Master Programs in Medical Physics at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest. Her work includes thirty six ISI and three non-ISI articles (most of them involving protein–ligand interaction studies), over eighty five oral and poster presentations to international/national conferences, three laboratory guides (in 2014, 2016, and 2020), one book chapter (2019), over two hundred and seventy citations in ISI papers (WoS, Google academic, and Scopus), four research fellowships (three international and one national), and eight Summer Schools and training courses.
