Marco Minella has been an associate professor of Analytical Chemistry since October 2020. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2010 at the School of Science and High Technology of the University of Turin. He worked from 2010 to 2013 for the R&D section of the multinational company Rockwood S.p.a. In 2013, he was under contract as Professor of the Master “Chemical-Biological production systems” (Department of Life Science and Biology of the Systems, University of Turin) and of “Analytical chemistry of materials and laboratory” (Department of Science and Technological Innovations, University of Piemonte Orientale). In 2014, he became a research fellow of analytical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Turin.
His main research interests concern the study of advanced oxidation processes, particularly to the photocatalytic processes over irradiated semiconductors. Other research interests concern the study and modeling of photochemical reactions in surface and atmospheric waters, with particular attention to the role that the photochemistry has in the transformation of pollutants. Moreover, he has worked in the field of innovative materials for energy with particular attention to the synthesis of new materials for lithium ion batteries.
Marco Minella is author/co-author of 106 scientific articles with 3100 citations and four chapters of books (H-index 31).
