Prof. Monika Burzyńska, Ph.D., completed her Ph.D. in epidemiology (Medical University of Lodz, 2013) and her M.Sc. in public health (Medical University of Lodz, 2009). She is an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics and the Chair of Social and Preventive Medicine at the Medical University of Lodz. Her main research interests focus on epidemiology and public health. In research work, she deals mainly with issues related to the assessment of the health and life quality of the population. She is a participant in numerous scientific conferences and the author and reviewer of many publications on epidemiology and public health. She is a Business Centre Club expert on senior policy and public health. She is also a member of the Polish Society of Social Medicine and Public Health and the Polish Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
