Prof. Chunhua Liu

Chunhua Liu is based at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, where he is Chair Professor of Electrical Energy Engineering with the School of Energy and Environment. His research interests include electric machines and motor drives, electric vehicles, electric aircraft and ships, electric robotics, renewables and microgrids, and power electronics. In these areas, he has published over 350 refereed papers. In addition, he has been appointed an RGC Research Fellow by the HKRGC, and a Distinguished Lecturer by the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society (VTS). Prof. Liu is currently Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, and IEEE Power Engineering Letters. He is also Academic Editor of Energies, Subject Editor of IET – Renewable Power Generation, Associate Editor of the Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society, Assocate Editor of IEEE Access; Associate Editor of IEEE Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering, Academic Editor of Energiese, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Magnetics – Conference. In addition, he is the Chair & Founder of both the Hong Kong Chapter of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society and the Hong Kong & Guangzhou Joint Chapter of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society.
