Pirouz Nourian is an Assistant Professor of Design Informatics, Department of Architectural Engineering and Technology at TU Delft. He completed his BSc in Control Engineering at KN Toosi University of Technology, Tehran in 2004, MSc in Architecture at University of Art, Tehran in 2009, and Ph.D. in Design Informatics at TU Delft in 2016. He is the founder and director of Genesis Lab: Laboratory of Generative Systems and Sciences. He has the expertise and interest in computational generative design, specifically by means of mathematical modelling, geometrical, topological, or graph-theoretical computing. He has developed several computational tool-suites, most well-known among which are Space Syntax and Cheetah for Grasshopper 3D.
