Because it is associated with most multifactorial inherited diseases like heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and other serious medical conditions, obesity is a major global health concern. Obesity is caused by hereditary, physiological, and environmental factors, as well as poor nutrition and a lack of exercise. Weight loss can be difficult for various reasons, and it is diagnosed via BMI, which is used to estimate body fat for most people. Muscular athletes, for example, may have a BMI in the obesity range even when they are not obese. Researchers from a variety of backgrounds and institutions devised different hypotheses and models for the prediction and classification of obesity using different approaches and various machine learning techniques. In this study, a majority voting-based hybrid modeling approach using a gradient boosting classifier, extreme gradient boosting, and a multilayer perceptron was developed. Seven distinct machine learning algorithms were used on open datasets from the UCI machine learning repository, and their respective accuracy levels were compared before the combined approaches were chosen. The proposed majority voting-based hybrid model for prediction and classification of obesity that was achieved has an accuracy of 97.16%, which is greater than both the individual models and the other hybrid models that have been developed.

This paper addresses the evolution and evaluation of sarcasm in textual form. The growing popularity of social networking sites is well known, and every individual generates a whole new set of opinions in form of blogs, microposts, etc. Sentiment analysis is one of the fastest evolving aspects of artificial intelligence categorizing opinions under positive, negative, or neutral sentiments. One such part of sentiment analysis is sarcasm. Sarcasm is becoming a common phenomenon in networking sites where expressing murky feelings wrapped by positive words for conveying contempt is highly used, making it difficult to understand the actual meaning of a statement. When reading customer reviews or complaints, it might be helpful to understand the consumers’ genuine intentions in order to enhance the efficiency of customer support or after-sales services. In this paper, different classifiers—decision tree, Naïve Bayes, k-nearest, and support vector machine are used to predict a statement under the category sarcastic or nonsarcastic using tweeter data; the following proposed methodology is used for the experimental evaluation concluding that the given classifiers SVM gains the highest accuracy of 93%, whereas Naïve Bayes and decision tree are performing well with an accuracy of 83% and 86%, respectively, along with the lowest of 51% attained by KNN.

The automated identification of toxicity in texts is a crucial area in text analysis since the social media world is replete with unfiltered content that ranges from mildly abusive to downright hateful. Researchers have found an unintended bias and unfairness caused by training datasets, which caused an inaccurate classification of toxic words in context. In this paper, several approaches for locating toxicity in texts are assessed and presented aiming to enhance the overall quality of text classification. General unsupervised methods were used depending on the state-of-art models and external embeddings to improve the accuracy while relieving bias and enhancing F1-score. Suggested approaches used a combination of long short-term memory (LSTM) deep learning model with Glove word embeddings and LSTM with word embeddings generated by the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), respectively. These models were trained and tested on large secondary qualitative data containing a large number of comments classified as toxic or not. Results found that acceptable accuracy of 94% and an F1-score of 0.89 were achieved using LSTM with BERT word embeddings in the binary classification of comments (toxic and nontoxic). A combination of LSTM and BERT performed better than both LSTM unaccompanied and LSTM with Glove word embedding. This paper tries to solve the problem of classifying comments with high accuracy by pertaining models with larger corpora of text (high-quality word embedding) rather than the training data solely.
