Liping Wang is the professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Basic Veterinary Medicine, Nanjing Agricultural University, the head of the Animal Pharmacy Department, a member of the Expert Committee of the Chinese Veterinary Pharmacopoeia, executive director of the Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, executive member of the Veterinary Toxicology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Toxicology, and a member of the Veterinary Toxicology Professional Committee of the Jiangsu Society of Toxicology. After graduating with a master’s degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology in 1997, she has been working at the school ever since. In 2005, she obtained a doctorate in veterinary microbiology and immunology. From September 2006 to August 2007, she was a visiting scholar at the College of Veterinary Medicine of Iowa State University. She was selected as a young and middle-aged academic leader of the “Qinglan Project” of Jiangsu Province’s colleges and universities and the 133 Talent Program of Nanjing Agricultural University. Main research directions: (1) The generation and transmission mechanism of bacterial resistance and its prevention and control; (2) the oral absorption mechanism of veterinary drugs and drug/drug interactions; and (3) the development, evaluation, and application of new antibiotic alternatives.
