Lina M. Hoyos Palacio received a BSc in chemical engineering in 2005 from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and a Ph.D. in engineering. She currently holds the position of associate professor at the School of Medicine and Engineering at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Colombia. She is the author of multiple articles in indexed journals and international conference papers, a project evaluator for Minciencias and magazines, and the Director of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
