My primary research efforts focus on cancer epidemiology and biomarker research. I have been interested in understanding how nutritional, hormonal, metabolic, and genetic factors are related to various malignancies, especially colorectal cancer. Much of the work has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province (Excellent Youth Program and Youth Program). I have published over 60 SCI-indexed papers in prestigious journal including Gastroenterology, Diabetes Care, and the International Journal of Epidemiology. I am a reviewer for journals such as BMJ, IJC and JCEM. I am also a member of the American Association for Cancer Research and the North American Metabolomics Association.
