Catarina Cardoso Tomás is a Mental Health and Psychiatric specialist nurse, working as a Full-time teacher in the School of Health - Polytechnic Institute, since 2009. She finished her master’s degree on Mental Health and Psychiatric nursing in 2015 and her PhD degree on Nursing Sciences (Thesis - Health Literacy in adolescence) in 2014. She is currently the coordinator of Nursing degree, and teach mainly in mental health and Psichyatric nursing area. She is an integrated member of the Reseach Unit CiTechCare, she as been an active research member of several projects namely in the area of health promotion and literacy and mental health nursing. Author of several papers in international and National journals and author of several scientific communications in National and international events. Has participated in several international partnerships and financied projects.
