Kasun M. Thambugala is a Lecturer at the Genetics and Molecular Biology Unit, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Gangodawila, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. Kasun worked as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, Pathumthani, Thailand. He was a Senior Scientist at the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research, Mae Fah Luang University Chiang Rai, Thailand. He graduated from Mae Fah Luang University. He received a Ph.D. at the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. He is a Top published author at the Institute of Excellence in Fungal Research, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand in 2014. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Guizhou Key Laboratory of Agricultural Biotechnology, China. He is a Learning Management System Coordinator at the Genetics and Molecular Biology Unit, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is a member of the Institute of Biology and the Sri Lanka Association for Mycology and Plant Pathology (SLAMPP).
