Dr. Yaping Liu is an associate professor in the Faculty of Food Science and Engineering at Kunming University of Science and Technology. She graduated with a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Sustainable Utilization of Western Plant Resources, Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2012. She has published more than 100 research papers, including more than 80 SCI research papers. The funded project she presided over was selected for the "Young Outstanding Talents" project of Yunnan Province's High-Level Talent Training Support Plan in 2020 and the Kunming University of Science and Technology's High-Level Talent Platform Construction Project. Her research area is the functional evaluation of the active molecules and their active sites in medicinal and edible plants. Her main courses include “Food Chemistry Experiments”, “Functional Foods”, and “Advanced Food Chemistry”.
