Yifeng Wei received her master's degree (in education) from York University in 2003 and her Ph.D. from Dalhousie University in 2017. She was an adjunct assistant professor (psychiatry) at Dalhousie University from 2019 to 2023. She has been an assistant professor (psychiatry) at the Department of Psychiatry in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta, since 2021. Her research interests include knowledge translation in school mental health, focusing on promoting mental health literacy, reducing the stigma of mental illness, and improving help-seeking behaviors in secondary schools. Her work is interdisciplinary and geared towards contributing to mental health promotion and early intervention at national and international levels.
