Il Tae Kim is a professor at the School of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Gachon University. He completed his Ph.D. studies in Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, in 2011, and his M.S. studies in Chemical Engineering at KAIST, Korea, in 2006, and has been awarded the Achievement Award from The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry in 2023. He has published 140 papers with 6993 citations and has an h-index of 29 (Scopus, 9 October 2023). His interests include lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries, calcium-ion batteries, aqueous rechargeable and dual-ion batteries, smart polymeric binders for electrodes, biofuel cells, bioengineering materials, and smart optical sensors.
