Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cătălina Natalia Cheaburu Yilmaz is currently working as a lecturer/researcher in the Department of Chemistry, Dokuz Eylül University, in İzmir, Turkiye. She obtained a Ph.D. in the field of Polymer Chemistry in 2011. She worked as researcher in the “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry in Romania between 2004-2018. She also worked for 2 years (2012-2014) in Helsinki at ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) as a national expert. Her research interests include advanced polymer synthesis and characterization, click chemistry, the preparation of composites/nanocomposites/nanoparticles and their applications, the synthesis and modification of responsive (bio)polymers to be used in drug delivery systems and biotechnological drugs, the preparation and application of high-performance polymeric coatings, and industrial polymers.
