Bertrand Liagre coordinated the theme "Photodynamic therapy, anti-cancer signaling, and arachidonic acid metabolism" within the PEIRENE EA 7500 team regarding the processes of apoptosis and cell differentiation, in terms of scientific activity. From 2020 to 2022, he was the head of Axis 1 "Chemistry–Biology for Therapeutic Applications (CBAT)" of the PEIRENE EA 7500 team. Since 2022, he has been the director of the LABCiS Research Unit 22722. Since the beginning of his career as a teacher and researcher, he has participated in the supervision of five university theses and directed or co-directed 15 university theses at the national level or in cosupervision with a foreign university partner; currently, five more are in progress. He is the author of 95 international peer-reviewed publications, 1 national publication, 76 communications (oral or poster) in international conferences, 11 invited oral communications in international conferences, 43 communications (oral or poster) in national conferences, and 7 participations in book chapters. From 2013 to 2024, he reviewed 70 scientific papers for the publisher MDPI. Finally, he is a member of the Editorial Boards of nine scientific journals.
