Prof. Dr. Hongyin Zhang is a professor at the School of Food and Biological Engineering at Jiangsu University. He graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology of Huazhong Agricultural University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree; in 2001, he graduated from Zhengzhou Food College (now Henan University of Technology) with a master's degree; and in 2004, he graduated from the School of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science of Zhejiang University with a Ph.D. From September 2008 to September 2009, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Queensland, Australia; from January 2016 to April 2016, he was a visiting scholar at the University of Florida, the United States. He taught and researched at Zhengzhou Animal Husbandry Engineering College from 1995 to 1999. In July 2004, he went to the School of Food and Bioengineering of Jiangsu University to engage in teaching and research. In September 2005, he entered a postdoctoral position in food science and engineering at Jiangsu University. At the mobile station, he was promoted to associate professor in July 2006 and professor in August 2011. In June 2017, he was named the young and middle-aged academic leader of Jiangsu Province’s “Blue Project”; in August 2017, he won the Science and Technology Innovation Award-Outstanding Youth Award of the China Food Science and Technology Society. Since October 2017, he has served as the deputy dean of the School of Food and Bioengineering.
