My research focuses on aquatic microbial and algal ecology, investigating community dynamics, biogeochemical cycles, and ecosystem responses to environmental change. I have led several projects integrating molecular tools and field observations to study microbial interactions in freshwater systems. Currently, I serve as Guest Editor for the Special Issue "New Insights in Aquatic Microbial Ecology" in Biology.
