I am an Agronomist with an MSc in Food Science and Technology, an MSc in Food, Nutrition and Microbiome, and a PhD in Agricultural Development. I also conducted my postdoctoral research at the Medical School of Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. My research interests lie at the interface of food and environmental microbiology, microbial ecology, food safety, antimicrobial resistance, and One Health. My recent work integrates conventional microbiological approaches with quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA), predictive modelling, machine learning, and AI-assisted methods to assess microbial and environmental risks. I have contributed to research on food hygiene, HACCP, microbiome science, environmental microbial contamination, antimicrobial resistance, and sustainable food systems. My interdisciplinary expertise supports the development of predictive, risk-based, and One Health-oriented approaches to next-generation food hygiene.
