Pediatrician, PhD in Pediatrics. Full professor of General and Specialistic Paediatrics, Department of Movement Sciences and Wellness, Parthenope University, Naples. Invited speaker to more research meetings and training courses for pediatricians and nutritionists. Major research interest: pediatric obesity, obesity-related comorbidities, prediabetes, type 1 diabetes mellitus, cardiometabolic risk, lifestyle in children and adolescents, and sports nutrition. Author of 176 original works, extensively published in international scientific journals and as 29 book chapters. Other duties are: Coordinator of the Study Group Pediatric Obesity of The Italian Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology (2009/2011; 2015/2017). General Secretary of the Executive Committee of The Italian Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology biennium 2017/2019. Vice-President of the Executive Committee of The Italian Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetology biennium 2019/2021. Vice-Director of the Scientific Committee of the Inter-university Center of Bioethical Research (2019-2022).
