Abdel graduated (Licence/DEA) from the University of Liège in RTILs non-aqueous electrochemistry (B. Gilbert) and completed a PhD research studies in Materials Science and Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble-INP). From 2015 to 2018, he worked at IFE-Norway as a researcher and project leader for battery-related activities based on hydrides. Late 2018, Abdel joined the Fichtner Group HIU/KIT working on novel oxy-fluoride materials for Li/Na ion and solid-state batteries.
