Shiv Poigai Arunachalam, Ph.D., D.B.A., is the director of the Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (DEAL) and the Microwave Engineering and Imaging Laboratory (MEIL) in the Department of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Florida, and he is the founder and CEO of Patfoci Technologies in Rochester, Minnesota. He joined the staff of Mayo Clinic in 2011 and holds the academic rank of assistant professor of medicine and radiology, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Dr. Poigai Arunachalam’s research focuses on developing physiologically consistent hybrid-signal and image processing AI methodologies for early-stage disease detection using novel data innovation and AI/ML architectures. His strategic approach from AI product ideas to clinical translation with patient- and commercialization-focused innovation has led to highly collaborative teamwork resulting in several AI translational efforts.
