Panayiotis Kotzanikolaou received a degree in computer science (1998) and a Ph.D in ICT security (2003) from the University of Piraeus, Greece. He is currently an Associate Professor in Network Security and Privacy at the University of Piraeus, Department of Informatics, and the director of the Security Research Lab (SecLab). He has participated in various national, European and international R&D projects. He has served as a guest editor, Program Committee member and reviewer for various international journals and conferences. His research interests include network security, communication privacy, applied cryptography and critical infrastructure protection. He has published more than 70 papers in books, peer reviewed journals and conferences.
