Prof. Yu-Zhou Du received his Ph.D. in Entomology from Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University. From 1997 to 1999, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Zhejiang University. He has worked at Yangzhou University since December 1999 and was promoted to professor in 2001. He is currently the director of the Institute of Applied Entomology of Yangzhou University and the vice chairman of the Agricultural Insect Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Entomological Society. He has been engaged in research on the classification, systematic evolutio,n and molecular systematics of Pleuronectes and the molecular ecology, early warning monitoring, and prevention and control technology of important agricultural and alien invasive species.
