Irina IOANNOU Head of Process Engineering Department and Analytical Platform - 19 years of experience (Reims) After a PhD on the implementation of tools to help control food processes, Irina Ioannou joined the University of Lorraine as an assistant professor. For 14 years, she taught statistics and process engineering while developing research dedicated to the study of processes for extracting bioactive molecules. After obtaining her Habilitation to Direct Research in 2017, Irina IOANNOU joined URD ABI (Industrial Agro-biotechnologies) to manage the Process Engineering department. Its activity focuses on the implementation, optimization and intensification of separation processes (extraction / purification) of molecules with high added value from plant biomass and / or agro-industrial by-products, with expertise specific on phenolic compounds and anti-oxidant molecules.
