Liang-Jian Deng received a B.S. and Ph.D. from the School of Mathematical Sciences, the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), in 2010 and 2016, respectively. From September 2013 to September 2014, he stayed at the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), Cleveland, USA, as a Joint-Training Ph.D. student. In 2017, he was working as a postdoc in HKBU (Hong Kong, China). In addition, he also stayed at the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences (Cambridge University) and HKBU for short visits. His research interests mainly focus on using PDE, optimization modeling, and deep learning to address several tasks in image processing and computer vision, e.g., resolution enhancement, restoration, etc.
