I am an urban geographer with a research focus on utilizing remote sensing, GIS, field investigation, spatiotemporal big data, and modeling to improve public understanding of the ongoing process of urbanization on our planet. My specific areas of research interest include land cover/use change, urban climatology, remote sensing and GIS, and sustainability science. As with any academic journey, there will inevitably be challenges along the way. However, it is important to remember never to give up and always maintain a positive attitude. With determination and perseverance, anything is possible. As the saying goes, where there is a will, there is a way.
