Prof. Suwarno Suwarno

Prof. Suwarno earned his PhD from Nagoya University, Japan, in 1996. His research interests include high-voltage insulating materials and technology, as well as high-voltage industrial applications. Prof. Suwarno has received several prestigious awards, such as the Best Paper Award from IEEE Queensland (ICPADM 1994), Best Paper Awards from IEE Japan in 1994 and 1995, and the Best Paper Award from ACED, Seoul, in 2003. Dr. Suwarno actively participates in various conferences as an ad com member and has served as the General Chairman of High Voltage Engineering 1998, IEEE ICPADM 2006, ICEEI 2007, and IEEE CMD, Bali 2012. He is also a respected reviewer for several journals, including Energies, IEEE, IET, and Elsevier. With over 250 international papers to his name, Prof. Suwarno has made significant contributions to his field. Prof. Suwarno has held leadership roles at the School of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, ITB, including Vice Dean and Dean, and currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Electrical Power Engineering Research Division at ITB. He is also recognized as an IEEE senior member.
