Prof. Jian Zhang is an Professor in the College of Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University. He received his B.Sc and Ph.D from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 2002 and 2010. From October 2010 to March 2013, he was a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University. From February 2015 to February 2016, he visited the University of Nottingham, UK as an academic visitor, and now he is an associate professor at Zhejiang University. His research interests include motor design and its reliability analysis, health management, and maintenance decision for high-end equipment. He was supported by several state-level funds including NSFC, the National High-tech Programme (863 projects), the National Sci-Tech Support Plan, and the National Science and Technology Major Project.
