elix Bongomin is a practicing physician and a lecturer in medical microbiology and immunology at Gulu University Medical School in Uganda. He is an ambassador of the Global Action Fund for Fungal Infections (GAFFI). Dr. Bongomin has an active research interest in the areas of allergic and chronic forms of aspergillosis, AIDS-related mycoses and on the epidemiology of fungal diseases.
