Dr. Jiaqi Xia holds a Ph.D. in Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) from Cornell University, with extensive research experience in hydroponics, horticultural lighting, and greenhouse management. He has a proven track record of conducting influential research on plant morphogenesis, crop management systems, and the economic potential of horticultural crops. Skilled in both advanced CEA techniques and financial modeling, he is dedicated to optimizing plant growth and enhancing profitability through innovative strategies that improve the efficiency and sustainability of CEA systems. Dr. Neil Mattson is a professor in the School of Integrative Plant Science, having joined Cornell University in 2007. He serves as a statewide greenhouse specialist with research and outreach programs focusing on the physiology of both vegetable and flower crops. His work emphasizes strategies to optimize crop production while reducing energy use through improved lighting and greenhouse control systems, plant mineral nutrition, and plant stress physiology.
