Christos Goumopoulos is a Professor at the Department of Information and Communications Systems Engineering at the University of the Aegean. He is the director of the postgraduate program, Internet of Things: Intelligent Environments in Next-Generation Networks program. His research interests include pervasive computing system architectures, the design and programming of pervasive computing systems, programming models and frameworks, middleware design, IoT platforms, semantic interoperability in IoT, ontological knowledge representation, serious games, ambient-assisted living systems, and eHealth systems. He has more than 120 publications to his name in international refereed journals, books, and conferences (e.g. IEEE, ACM, Elsevier, Springer, MDPI). He has also organized international workshops, and served as a reviewer on international journal and conferences.
