Biography

Dr. Nooral Amin is a postdoctoral researcher in Crop Breeding and Genetics at Shihezi University, China, affiliated with the Institute for Safflower Industry Research, the Pharmacy College, and the College of Agriculture. His research integrates plant molecular biology, functional genomics, transcriptomics, bioinformatics, and molecular breeding to understand the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying crop growth, development, abiotic-stress adaptation, and secondary metabolism. His work particularly focuses on elucidating stress-responsive regulatory networks and the biosynthesis of valuable metabolites in medicinal and oilseed crops, with particular emphasis on safflower and soybean. He has extensive experience in gene-function characterization, molecular breeding, multi-omics analysis, and plant metabolic regulation. Through the integration of genomics, molecular genetics, and breeding approaches, his research aims to translate fundamental biological discoveries into practical strategies for developing resilient, high-yielding, and high-quality crop varieties, while improving the productivity and phytochemical value of economically important crops.
