Ching-I Chen obtained a doctorate in the doctoral program in design from the National Taipei University of Technology in Taiwan. She has engaged in design-related work for nearly 20 years and is currently a post-doctoral researcher. Ching-I Chen focuses on interactive data visualization, user experience, and cognitive psychology and works on research that balances the usability and aesthetics of interactive visualization.
