Biography

I am a T cell immunologist. My research focuses on how T cell receptor (TCR) signaling strength regulates T helper cell differentiation. This work builds upon my previous research in Taiwan, where I investigated how TCR signal strength is influenced by the properties of anti-CD3 ligands, including affinities and ligand dimensions. I also contributed to studies of TCR signaling by quantifying CD45 segregation using total internal reflection fluorescence (TIRF) microscopy. This work helped lay the foundation for the proposed TCR Bending Mechanosignal (TBM) model. Earlier in my career, I worked on DNA immunization, immunoinformatics, and monoclonal antibody development. My current research also focuses on optimizing CAR-T cell therapies to improve their efficacy and translational potential.
