Dušan Ranđelović is an assistant professor (PhD) at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture, University of Niš, specializing in architectural design of structural systems, bioclimatic architecture, and building energy performance. He earned his PhD in Architecture (2021) with a dissertation on passive design strategies for improving energy efficiency in school buildings, and holds an M.Arch. (2012) and BSc in Architecture (2010), graduating with top honors. His research focuses on passive and hybrid retrofit strategies, envelope optimization, integration of renewables, and techno‑economic assessment of deep renovation pathways. He has led and contributed to innovation projects funded by the Serbian Innovation Fund and national research programs, and has published multiple peer‑reviewed articles on energy efficiency, passive design, and envelope solutions. Dušan teaches courses in architectural structures, bioclimatic design, and building physics; supervises student design projects and master theses; and mentors student teams in national and international exhibitions. He holds professional certifications in building performance simulation (DesignBuilder and Autodesk Building Performance Analysis) and serves as a reviewer for regional accreditation bodies.
