Security issues have resulted in severe damage to the cloud computing environment, adversely affecting the healthy and sustainable development of cloud computing. Intrusion detection is one of the technologies for protecting the cloud computing environment from malicious attacks. However, network traffic in the cloud computing environment is characterized by large scale, high dimensionality, and high redundancy, these characteristics pose serious challenges to the development of cloud intrusion detection systems. Deep learning technology has shown considerable potential for intrusion detection. Therefore, this study aims to use deep learning to extract essential feature representations automatically and realize high detection performance efficiently. An effective stacked contractive autoencoder (SCAE) method is presented for unsupervised feature extraction. By using the SCAE method, better and robust low-dimensional features can be automatically learned from raw network traffic. A novel cloud intrusion detection system is designed on the basis of the SCAE and support vector machine (SVM) classification algorithm. The SCAE+SVM approach combines both deep and shallow learning techniques, and it fully exploits their advantages to significantly reduce the analytical overhead. Experiments show that the proposed SCAE+SVM method achieves higher detection performance compared to three other state-of-the-art methods on two well-known intrusion detection evaluation datasets, namely KDD Cup 99 and NSL-KDD.

Access control technology is critical to the safe and reliable operation of information systems. However, owing to the massive policy scale and number of access control entities in open distributed information systems, such as big data, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing, existing access control permission decision methods suffer from a performance bottleneck. Consequently, the large access control time overhead affects the normal operation of business services. To overcome the above-mentioned problem, this paper proposes an efficient permission decision engine scheme based on machine learning (EPDE-ML). The proposed scheme converts the attribute-based access control request into a permission decision vector, and the access control permission decision problem is transformed into a binary classification problem that allows or denies access. The random forest algorithm is used to construct a vector decision classifier in order to establish an efficient permission decision engine. Experimental results show that the proposed method can achieve a permission decision accuracy of around 92.6% on a test dataset, and its permission decision efficiency is significantly higher than that of the benchmark method. In addition, its performance improvement becomes more obvious as the scale of policy increases.

In the big data environment, data are characterized by a large volume, various types, and rapid changes. The consortium blockchain applied in this environment faces the problem of excessive storage of the ledger, and the ledger handling different types of business needs to be isolated to ensure the ledger’s security. To this end, this paper proposes a scalable consortium blockchain architecture based on world state collaborative storage (CBCS). First, a business world state database update method is designed based on sparse Merkle multiproofs, where the collaborative storage of world state is realized under the premise of mutual isolation of the ledger between business domains. Then, a world state consistency verification method based on the rank B+ tree is designed to verify the consistency of the business world state in business domains by the checking sidechain, and a main-side chain cross-anchoring structure is designed to realize secure anchoring of the mainchain and the checking sidechain. Meanwhile, a blockchain transaction trusted tracing method based on two-level certification is developed to enable business nodes to obtain complete blockchain transactions. Finally, the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed mechanism to solve the storage scalability problem in the consortium blockchain are verified through experiments.

To ensure optimal use of images while preserving privacy, it is necessary to partition the shared image into public and private areas, with public areas being openly accessible and private areas being shared in a controlled and privacy-preserving manner. Current works only facilitate image-level sharing and use common cryptographic algorithms. To ensure efficient, controlled, and privacy-preserving image sharing at the area level, this paper proposes an image partition security-sharing mechanism based on blockchain and chaotic encryption, which mainly includes a fine-grained access control method based on Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) and an image-specific chaotic encryption scheme. The proposed fine-grained access control method employs smart contracts based on the ABAC model to achieve automatic access control for private areas. It employs a Cuckoo filter-based transaction retrieval technique to enhance the efficiency of smart contracts in retrieving security attributes and policies on the blockchain. The proposed chaotic encryption scheme generates keys based on the private areas’ security attributes, largely reducing the number of keys required. It also provides efficient encryption with vector operation acceleration. The security analysis and performance evaluation were conducted comprehensively. The results show that the proposed mechanism has lower time overhead than current works as the number of images increases.
