His main research interests are the biomarkers of stress, inflammation and obesity, in blood and especially those that can be determined in non-invasive samples such as saliva. He has more than 120 scientific articles published in indexed international journals (h-index 24), 24 of which have been published in the last 2 years, dealing with different aspects, although it is worth highlighting the determination of enzymes in serum, acute phase proteins and stress markers in animals. Among the articles previously indicated, 25 of them refer to the porcine species, dealing mainly with the determination of inflammation markers (acute phase proteins) in porcine saliva and serum samples, oxidative stress markers in serum and saliva, and markers of psychic stress in saliva.
