Octavian Andercou is an Associated Professor at the Department of Surgery, Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and has been a general and vascular surgeon since 2000, achieving a PhD in 2003. Andercou’s surgical experience spans over 25 years, obtained in Romania and Germany (University Hospital Heidelberg; KlinikumSud Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Nuremberg; Department of Vascular Surgery, Martha-Maria Hospital Nuremberg; and Center of Vascular Diseases Nuremberg). Andercou’s research interests are in vascular surgery, phlebology and minimally invasive surgery. Andercou is also a member of the European College of Phlebology, German Society of Phlebology, European Society for Vascular Surgery, Romanian Society for Vascular Surgery, Romanian Society for Phlebology and Romanian Society for Surgery.
