Valeria K. Petrova completed her Master's degree at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Animal Physiology Unit at the same university on the topic “Isolation, identification and functional plasticity of equine adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells”. Her research interests are focused on adapting a proper protocol for the purification and further application of ASCs and their products to horses suffering from musculoskeletal disorders, cell culturing, cell-based and cell-free therapy, and regenerative medicine. In addition, she has tested the anticancer and probiotic properties of natural supplements on cancer cell lines.
