I obtained my Ph.D. in Immunotoxicology from the University of Tsukuba in March 2010. From April 2010 to March 2016, I worked in the Tsunoda laboratory at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC)-Shreveport as a Postdoctoral Fellow and studied molecular mechanisms involved in multiple sclerosis (MS) and viral myocarditis using bioinformatics approaches. I was supported by the Malcolm Feist Cardiovascular Research Fellowship to conduct a study entitled “Systems Biology Approach for Molecular Mechanisms in Viral Myocarditis,” funded by the Center for Cardiovascular Diseases and Sciences, LSUHSC. From 2016, I worked as a junior faculty member (2016-2021, Assistant Professor; 2021-2026, Associate Professor) in the Department of Microbiology, Kindai University Faculty of Medicine, Japan. And, from April in 2026, I am working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Science and Technology on Food Safety, Faculty of Biology-Oriented Science and Technology, Kindai University, Japan, and has continued the same project. My studies have been supported by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research KAKENHI from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JP19K08569, JP22K07527, JP26K10022), intramural grants from Kindai University, and a grant from a pharmaceutical company. My studies will enable tailor-made treatments for patients in the future.
