Dr Arana-Solares is Associate Professor in the Industrial Engineering Department (Mexico City region). Since 2019, he has been the Director of the MSc. in Productivity and Quality Systems virtual program at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He is the co-author of one book and seven articles on supply chains, logistics, and high-performance manufacturing. His research interests include logistics and Supply Chain 4.0, excellence operations, and inventory and warehouse management. Dr Arana-Solares works in the SMEs initiative in collaboration with MIT SCALE in the Latin America Network. He is an undergraduate- and postgraduate-level Lecturer in supply chains, the theory of constraints, inventory management, and lean manufacturing. He is also Executive Education Consultant at Tecnológico de Monterrey on the same topics.
