Barbara Bonelli is Full Professor of Chemical Foundations of Technologies at the Department of Applied Science and Technology of Politecnico di Torino (Italy). After receiving a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Science from the Università degli Studi di Torino, she moved to Politecnico di Torino, where she got a permanent position in 2004. Her main research interests are the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of porous (nano)materials for heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis, upconversion, gas storage (H2, CH4, CO2), sensing, and biomedical applications.
